OYAKI IN NAGANO

Nagano is famous for Oyaki. Do you know Oyaki? Oyaki is something like manju (steamed bun). But Oyaki is a little bit different from that. A steamed bun often has Anko in it. But Oyaki has several ingredients beside Anko. For example, Nozawana, Pumpkin, Eggplant and so on. But I like Kiriboshi very much.
Oyaki was born in Nagano. But now, Oyaki became famous in some parts of japan. So we have many types of Oyaki in some prefectures besides Nagano. For example, in MATHUMOTO. There are several kinds of OYAKI there such as THUBUANNKO, KUROZATOU, GOMAANNKO and so on.

OYAKI has two types. One is broiled type, and the other type is steamed type. In my hometown(MOCHIZUKI), we often have steamed type. I have never had broiled type, so I want to have a broiled one at OYAKIMURA cause there is famous for broiled OYAKI.  by the way, ZENNKOUJI (a famous temple in NAGANO) is famous for steamed OYAKI.

Why don't you have Oyaki today?
