Illumination at Shokubutuen

 It was too cold yesterday. But in that situation, I went to shokubutuen with my friends because Illumination was held there. We got together at SAIIN station at p.m 5:20 and toke bus to the event site. It took long time for us to go there. Maybe it took about 30 minutes. The bus was very crowded so we had to keep standing until we get off the bus.
  We all had already been excited in front of the entrance. There were a lot of people like a family, a couple and friends at the event site. Everybody seemed happy. We were also happy. 
 It was a really beautiful world. There were lots of colorful lights there. We lost voice when saw that.
 There was also held a projection mapping so we watched that, too. It was fantastic. Everyone who watched that took some photos or a short movie.
 After we finish watching that, went to a restaurant and ate something hot talking about club and next year.
 I had a good time with my friends. I like them. Where do we go next time?

My Life

 It has passed 11 months since I came to Kyoto. I have ever challenged anything what I want to do as club and its tournament, circle and its presentation, a kind of volunteer activity, etc. I have been happy because I have learned a lot of important things through these action. For example, to communicate several age people is a chance for me to get information that I don't know. And to do something in public makes me have strong mind and confidence. So I can speak without tense feeling in public today. It is a big change for me because when I was a high school student, I was too shy to speak in public and even talk to friends.

 To live by myself is very hard and interesting for me and it is a good chance to do anything I want to do. I don't want to waste now time so I think that today doesn't come tomorrow so today is today so I decided to that I do something  that I can do today and do something I can tomorrow.

ZENNZAI

 It's a cold day. It has been cold recently. I know that it’s cold because of 12 month but I don’t think so yet. I want to feel warm. But what makes me warm? I thought that a few days ago. It was Thursday, maybe. When I went to KAFETARO with Fuyuka for afternoon tea after we ate lunch on the day. She found a name 'ZENNZAI' when we entered the cafe. I wanted to have something hot and she also wanted to have that. So we decided to order a ZENNZAI each other. It was 250 yen. That's reasonable price isn't it? I think so. So I recommend you to buy it.

  It had some mochi in it. Those were very soft. I liked these. And it had grain of adzuki bean. It made me very warm. I was full when I finished eating that and she was also full.

 

What do you like best?

 Good evening everyone! It has really cold recently. Today is also very cold isn't it? I was thinking that I wanted to have something hot for dinner tonight on the way home from school. So I decided to make ODENN and I found a cheaper one at Kyoto family. I wanted to have some types of it so bought one includes several types in it.

 I think no ODENN no winter. It's very important to have it in cold season. It makes me warm and full. I feel happy when I had it. I like some of it as HANNPEN, TAMAGO, GANNMO and MOCHIKINNCHAKU. But especially, I like radish best! It makes me wearer than anything else. What is your best in ODENN?

I have had a lot of ODENN because all of them were delicious so I am full. I feel sleepy so I'm going to go to bed. Good night.

THE NEW YEAR!!!

 I found a catalog about OSECHI at lunch time. The cover looks delicious. I was attracted that. OSECHI is a unique food in Japan and people have it with family at the new year. OSECHI is a dish that is in tiered lacquer ware boxes. There are a lot of foods in it. For example, black soybeans, Kamaboko like that boiled fish paste, bamboo shoot, Datemaki like that a rolled omelet mixed with fish paste and more. What do your family have in OSECHI? What is the best food you like in it? In my family, it's a little bit difference than common OSECHI. We also have black soybeans, Kamaboko and Datemaki but don't have them in the boxes. We have them on some round large plates and put them on KOTATSU and have them talking something fun! My favorite food is Datemaki! It's amazing food. It's made from fish paste and egg but looks like a dessert and also very sweet! I like the taste and also like looking. It is rolled and looks like a flower. That's cute.

 I'm looking forward to having OSECHI with my family at the new year! I absolutely have Datemaki!

VOICE OF ANGEL

  Do you know Libera?  Libera is consisted of younger children from 7 years to 18 years. They are all boys. When I heard that they are all boys from my friends I was surprised because I had thought that they are all girls.

  I like the music group very much. Everyone can know that music group 'Libera' because it is used as back music of Universal Studio Japan's commercial! The name of song is Song of Life.It is melodious so I was entranced by the music when I watched the CM. Libera has been used a lot for Universal Studio Japan's CM since 2012.

  I recommend you to listen to the full song. It is like voice of Angel and clear. The song makes me comfortable and relax when I go to bed. It is like a lullaby. So I can sleep soon. It is relaxation time for me recently. I 'm also going to listen to the song when I go to bed today.

Christmas cake catalog

I am happy because am full now. I don't have money to buy a Christmas cake by myself and I don't have time to hold a Christmas party with my friends so I thought hardly... and I thought of a good idea! That is a happy and economy Christmas! This mean is that I don't have money and time to do something for Christmas, but I want to enjoy something for that. It is good for me have poor money to take and look some free catalogs for Christmas! It is kind for my purse and it satisfy my hurt with happiness.

Looking some catalogs for Christmas is very good. I have already had two. One is from Family Mart and the other is from Kyoto Family. There are a lot of cakes on the catalogs. For example, Fruit Taruto, Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate cake, Maroon cake and Baked Cheese cake. They looks very delicious! I want to eat them now! But I don't have money! haha

MOCHI CHEESE

I'm a member of SHORINJI club so I sold MOCHI CHEESE with member of the club at school festival. It was very very interesting! It was a first time for me to sell something so I was worried, but everyone helped me. My club wore several costume like Disney character and high school students. The day of event was very cold so I wore Disney costume. It was warm. Second and Third grade wore high school student costume. They seemed cold.

MOCHI CHEESE was very good so a lot of people bought it at noon so we were very busy for making it. It had three tastes on it: MENTAI MAYO, SOUSE MAYO and PIZZA. But especially, MENTAI MAYO was sold more than anything else. I liked the taste, too. We were busy so wasn't able to eat anything for lunch so Third grade bought a lot of food for lunch. I was happy. I had a lot because I was so hungry.

MOCHI CHEESE was sold out finally! We were surprised that. I thought that it was happy a lot of people bought it, but I wanted to have it, too!

We were able to sell MOCHI CHEESE more than we expected so went to a bar for a party! I had a good time with the other there. (I am 19 so I didn't drink)

BOOKS 4 BOOKS

BOOKS 4 BOOKS is one of a circle in KUFS. It is not known much. I knew the circle on a paper that was distributed by member of the circle when I was in cafeteria in the afternoon. I was very interested in the circle and contacted a member of the circle by e-mail immediately. Then, I met a leader and was told about the activity directly. I was excited as I was listening that so I said 'Yes, I want to participate in!'.

I sold books with member of B4B for charity at school festival on November 2th. It was interesting! I was happy when people who bought a book or more. I want to thank people for buying books. All of the proceeds will be donated to poor country. I think that I can't do big wonderful action, but I can do small wonderful action such this donation for helping poor country. I wanted to do something for charity before so I am happy for donate money through B4B now.

B4B also sold Fish and Chips at school festival on the same day. It was surprised that all of them were sold! I ate it. It was good! I liked it!

After school festival, B4B went to KURAZUSHI for a party. I was happy because it was a first time to go there! I ate a lot. It was very good!

I'm a only first grade in B4B and others are second and third grade, but everyone is very nice! I like them. I am happy because I can get to know a lot of people!

It is time to be Christmas!!

It's Christmas!! I have a Christmas day in my brain! It is December!!!
I got a catalog for Christmas cake at cafeteria a few days ago. I had already started thinking about Christmas since that time.  I'm enjoying looking the catalog again and again. I love backed cheese cake and taruto! These are my favorite cakes!! I also love chicken and spaghetti for Christmas!
My family spend a wonderful time in Christmas. We set up a Christmas tree and prepare delicious dishes at night. I don't have present for Christmas but it is not bad cause I'm able to spend a wonderful time with my family, my dad, mam, brother and granpa and me!
It has been cold night for these days. It was cold yesterday, too. So I wanted to have something make me warm and made stew. It was right, it made me very very warm. I felt happy, having it.

IN HYOGO

I had a wonderful time with my friend, Huyuka and Aiko in HYOGO today!!

We went to HYOGO by train and on foot because Huyukas friends had a school festival.

I was very excited yesterday so I wasn't able to sleep well. But I finally slept.

 

We reached to NARUO station at ten and went to MUKOGAWA university. It was a sunny day so it was really warm. We were warm clothes so felt hot and took off them.

 

We had some foods and desserts at the university. The university was so large that we had to walk around there to have foods, but it was fun. I think KYOTO university is too small, but it is easy to walk around at school festival.

I had chizhimi, yakisoba, churosu and waffle at the university, but I didn't feel full. I wanted to have more so I was taken to LALAPORT by them. It was good time to have lunch when we got there. We looked around there and then had a lunch at food court. We had a talk for a long time there.

 

A Wonderful Time In Istanbul Saray!!!

 I'm going to present Turkey with my team, Natumi and Huyuka in English seminar so, we went to a restaurant ''Istanbul Saray'' for researching foods of the country when we finished school. It was 6:00. We went to KAWARAMACHI SANNJOU by bus and then we walked to the restaurant but lost the way. Finally, we got to the restaurant! There was on the third floor in a building. It was a little bit difficult to find the restaurant in evening.

 There was a intimate setting there and there were some people. We liked the room. So we took pictures there.
 We ordered some dishes ''Mantu, Kebabu, Ice cream etc...'' and shared them with us. All of them were really good!! Especially, I liked Ice cream. It was not like japanese ice cream! It was something like a... YUKIMIDAIHUKU! YUKIMIDAIHUKU has soft surface. It was like the surface. It was the first taste so I was very surprised and Natumi and Huyuka surprised, too!
 We had a good time there. I recommend you to order the interesting ice cream when you go Istanbul Saray!

What is that...?!

It was a horrible night...! I experienced the most terrible night ever...!
 I was so tired and hungry that night so tried to make something hot and eat it but was so tired that I had a shower first. After that, I tried making hot supper and ate it slowly and slowly. I felt full after the supper so cleared the dishes from the table. I didn't know that time what is going to happen.
 I have had a shower and had supper and it was 10:00PM. I thought now I can go to bed! But I had forgotten preparing the rice for tomorrow morning so did it quickly. OK, now I can go to bed absolutely! ...W..What was it? Then, I saw something...color was black..and it was a little bit big...! Did you know that? Yes, it was a cockroach...!!! It was big and black! Oh.. I wanted to escape from there as soon as possible but I wasn't able to do it cause I couldn't move my feet! I wanted somebody to help me! Mum! Dad! Please help me..!! I tried to call them quickly but I thought it was not use to do that. So I stopped calling them and hung up. This is my fight with cockroach so I will battle with it. I will win absolutely!
 There was a long fight. It took about thirty minutes. Finaly, I used a vacuum-cleaner and won!!! I was able to win!! I felt happy but felt more tired through the battle.
 I was able to go to bed at about twelve AM that night. haha

 

MY SUMMER

 I had a wonderful time in summer vacation! I did a lot of things. For example, club and barbecue party with member of my club. And I went to TOTORI for a workshop for the club. In addition to these things, I went to pool with my friend. The name of that pool is HIRATHUKA PARK. We swam a lot of time and played at flow pool, too.
 And I went back to my hometown, too. I stayed there for about two weeks. I had awesome time with my family, friends and high school teacher!
 I had a lot of good foods in my hometown. Sesame ice cream,  big parfait, sushi, steamed bun, steamed rice and my mothers dishes!
 I also studied English. My friend, Fuyuka and me were taken lessons for TOEIC TEST in this summer vacation. I don't know how many time we were taken the lesson, but we may have taken the lesson two or three times. Therefor, we got a good score on TOEIC PRETEST!! Thank you for taking lessons for us, Mr.ISHIKAWA. 
 I did a lot of things in this summer and had a lot of good foods. So I am now very very vigor! I studied hard first period but I'll study any subjects harder and harder in this second period, too!

SWEETS



 



 Today, I went to TOHO CINEMAS Nijo cause waned to watch a Disney movie: Maleficent. The movie was very powerful and fascinating so I was inpressed with the movie. My favorite cast are Maleficent and three little women. The movie finished at about 2:00 so after that I searched some places to have lunch cause I felt hungry. I searched and searched and searched...but there were no rooms at some places. I was very hungry...The watch said 3:00 so I gave up finding some places to have lunch and started finding a place to have afternoon snack. I found a cafe: MAMEYA when I walked around Nijo station by chance. The cafe looked small and cute. I went into the cafe at once. I ordered cake and smoothie. Those was a set menu. The cake was good cause ice cream made soybean milk I love was served with and the smoothie was made black sesame and soybean so it was healthful as well as delicious. I was full so after having those at the cafe I walked around Nijo station again and searched some sweets shops. I found two sweets shops: TOSHOAN and BONKURA KYOTO. TOSHOAN was quite big shop and there were a lot of sweets made anko. I bought one of those sweets. That was Powdered green tea cookies. It looked so cute. BONKURA was small shop and there were some cakes and baked sweets. They looked so yum so I bought one of those sweets. That was sweet potato brownie. It also looked yum. 

  I had a great one!! I like walking, movie and sweet shop! I want to go to a bakery next time. The name is a bread studio MAMAN. I'm so excited!

 

 

 

 

 

 



BBQ AND OKONOMIYAKI

Today, I went to BIWAKO with member of Shorinjikenpo includes OB because we were going to held a summer BBQ party. A total of 13 people were presented. We played in the sea, did BBQ near the sea and had meat a lot . I was really pleased that I played with OB and had meat a lot. At about 5:00, we finished playing and started putting away BBQ tools. Then, we spent  more than 3 hours going to IBARAKI to have dinner. We went to syokusaikan because KOUKI and HIROKI( they are third-year student ) work there so had talk a lot and had okonomiyaki, monnjya and teppanyaki a lot there. We were surprised that KOUKI made a big modern okonomiyaki and a snowman okonomiyaki for us so had it a lot. but it was so hard for girls to eat it. I talked something about assignment and love with OB a lot.  We spent a wonderful time there and were took a picture as commemoration. Then, we went back to each home. I had a great day so want to see together again someday!

Edible brown algae rice

  I have had an attack of anemia recently. So I thought that I must get iron for my brain and body. I was told vegetables which contain a lot of iron. For example, edible brown algae, the liver, parsley, fermented soybeans and garlics etc. I like edible brown algae so I decided to make a dish used it. So I researched a recipe with it from COOK PAD. I found a recipe ‘edible brown algae rice’.

 It is very easy to make it. You can make it with a rice cooker! First, you prepare rice (1.5 go), 1 carrot, edible brown algae, tuna, soy sauce (1 table spoon), sweet sake ( 1 table spoon) and sea tangle. I had some powder sea tangle so used it. First, you wash rice and add sweet sake and soy sauce into it. And you pour water up to line of 1.5 go. Next, you cut a carrot like semicircle and put them into the rice. You also put tuna, edible brown algae and sea tangle into it. Finally, you just push a button!

 I like an ume so I had the rice with it. It was really good!

Mister Doughnut!

Today, my friend stayed my apartment. She and I have the same class on Mondays 5 period so we came back apartment after the class. But we dropped into Mister Doughnut half way to my apartment. Mister Doughnut has a many kind of doughnut. For exemple, ponde ring, angel cream, chou eclair, old-fashioned doughnut, french cruller, honey dep, strawberry ring, custard cream, honey churros, chocolate, golden chocolate etc.　There looks very delicious! We wanted to have all them. But we chose ponde ring, waff (soybean flour), chou eclair,  honey dep. After buying them, we came back my apartment. It was 7:00 p.m when we arrived there. We had dinner and after that had doughnuts we bought as we watching TV show ‘HERO (star: TAKUYA KIMURA and TAKAKO MATU etc)’. We shared them each other because we bought so much. By the way, did you watch HERO? It was good story. I’m looking forward to watching new one which starts in summer.
